Blacksmith Foundations

Two-Day Workshop

Roll up your sleeves and dive into the craft of blacksmithing. This workshop centers on core blacksmithing techniques. Participants will start with fire maintenance and quickly start manipulating hot metal – through tapering, upsetting, slitting, and drifting. Take home and show off your creations; your loved ones will be impressed with your new forging skills!

No previous metalworking experience is necessary—all you need is a willingness to learn and a curiosity for working with metal.

Candle Holders

One-Day Workshop

In this workshop, participants will explore candle holder styles, drawing inspiration from traditional and modern designs. This one-day course is an excellent introduction (or refresher) to the tools and techniques of blacksmithing. Be ready to light up the night with your hand-hammered candle holders.

No prior experience is necessary— this workshop is perfect for beginners with a passion for craftsmanship and a desire to explore the timeless art of blacksmithing.

Spoons, Spatulas, or Forks for the Grill

One-Day Workshop

This workshop is perfect for grill masters, culinary enthusiasts, and DIY aficionados eager to elevate their grilling experience with handmade utensils. Join us for a sizzling day at the forge and unleash your creativity as you explore spoons, spatulas, or fork designs! Draw inspiration from classic and contemporary styles while forging custom utensils tailored for your grilling adventures.

This is an intermediate-level workshop: we ask that participants have a hands-on understanding of the fundamental tools and techniques of blacksmithing before they register.

Tong Making Introduction

One-Day Workshop

Tongs are essential to a blacksmith’s shop — there is always room for one more pair! This immersive one-day workshop will explore the significance of blacksmith tongs and cover the purposes of various designs. Participants will practice each step to make two fundamental types of tongs- the flat jaw and bolt tongs.

This is an intermediate-level workshop: we ask that participants have a hands-on understanding of the fundamental tools and techniques of blacksmithing before they register.

Build Your Own Forge

One Evening Workshop

If you want to hammer on hot metal, a forge is required. In this workshop, you will assemble a solid fuel forge ready for fire when you get home. This workshop is ideal for aspiring blacksmiths, DIY enthusiasts, and metalworking hobbyists looking to take their craft to the next level.

No previous experience is necessary to participate in this workshop.
