• If you want to hammer on hot metal, a forge is required. In this workshop, you will assemble a solid fuel forge ready for fire when you get home. This workshop is ideal for aspiring blacksmiths, DIY enthusiasts, and metalworking hobbyists looking to take their craft to the next level.   • Tongs are essential to a blacksmith's shop -- there is always room for one more pair! This immersive one-day workshop will explore the significance of blacksmith tongs and cover the purposes of various designs. Participants will practice each step to make two fundamental types of tongs- the flat jaw and bolt tongs. This is an intermediate-level workshop: we ask that participants have a hands-on understanding of the fundamental tools and techniques of blacksmithing before they register. Class Fee: $190 - includes project material and safety equipment. Class Size: 8 Class time:  9:00 am to 4:00 pm with a one-hour break from noon to 1:00 pm for lunch. A handful of restaurants are within 6 miles or pack your meal for a picnic at Cloverdale Forge.
