During this workshop, students will start with junkyard steels and learn how to forge and heat treat — the blacksmith way! Discussions and demonstrations will focus on basic tooling for a home forge, and participants will experience the process of making punches, chisels, and hammers – all essential blacksmithing tools!
This is an intermediate-level workshop: we highly encourage those interested in this class to have previously taken a Blacksmith Foundations workshop with Cloverdale Forge.

Class time: The class runs from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm with a one-hour lunch break from noon to 1:00 pm. A few fast-food establishments are a 5-mile drive from the Forge, or if you would like to bring a sack lunch, we have a microwave and fridge available for use.
