Clinching Iron
Clinching irons secure the brass tacks used to hold the cedar planking to the ribs of a wood and canvas canoe or boat. The shape of the iron conforms to a canoe’s interior without scratching or grating the wood. At the same time, the hollow center makes it easy to hold while in use.
